Context

In 2023, I was hired to modernize an architecture firm’s, Nielsen Studio’s, entire website. A pressing issue that demanded immediate attention was the need to integrate their scheduling software into the project inquiry flow. During my research, I uncovered that the page was underperforming with a very high bounce rate. This high bounce rate indicated potential user frustration and lost revenue.

Recognizing the urgency of this issue and the desire to facilitate initial project inquiry meetings, Nielsen Studios approved the redesign of their contact page.

My objectives for the redesign were to align the flow with user expectations, seamlessly incorporate Nielsen’s established scheduling software, and streamline the project inquiry process to enhance the overall user experience.

Key Impact

Following the revamp of the contact page design, enriched with compelling content and the introduction of a streamlined step-by-step meeting scheduling process, the website is observed to have a 67% reduction in bounce rate percentage, compared to the previous design, demonstrating improved user engagement of the contact page and reduced potential frustration.

Next Steps

Continued research into page performance along with user behavior and preferences is essential, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative measures. This ongoing effort will provide a comprehensive understanding of the user experience, validate page performance, and align with current business strategy.

In addition, I'm excited to share upcoming improvements in the modernization of the entire architecture firm's website. Key focus areas for the project are: enhancing the online user experience and showcasing the exceptional work that the business offers to its clients.

Stay tuned for more updates on the website's progress!
